Polyurea Coatings in Daytona Beach

The quickest system we install. Basecoat takes foot traffic in about ninety minutes.

Daytona is a car town, and car towns have a specific problem with floor coatings: the garage is in use. A project car on stands, a bike mid-rebuild, a lift that cannot be moved easily. The question is rarely whether a coated floor is worth it, it is how few days the space has to be out of commission.

Why polyurea suits this

Of our three basecoats, polyurea sets fastest. It goes down thin at six to eight mils and takes foot traffic in about ninety minutes, which means the flake broadcast, the scrape, and the polyaspartic topcoat all happen the same day comfortably. You are walking on it that evening and parking on it inside 24 to 48 hours.

It is not that polyurea is tougher. All three of our systems carry identical published numbers: the same 4,000 psi tensile strength, the same abrasion loss, the same adhesion, the same topcoat. Polyurea just gets there sooner, and on a working garage that is worth something.

When we will steer you elsewhere

If your slab reads damp, we will put an epoxy basecoat down instead, because it handles roughly four times the moisture vapor and polyurea does not. That happens more often on beachside properties and anything close to the Halifax. The price does not change, so there is no reason for us to talk you into the wrong one.

Showroom floors and shop floors

We do commercial work in Daytona as well, from showrooms and service bays to warehouse and kitchen floors. High traffic systems with fast return to service, chemical resistance, and slip ratings your insurance carrier will be comfortable with.

Pricing

Garage floors start around $2,250 and a three car around $3,095, the same price whichever basecoat your slab calls for. Commercial work is quoted individually. Every estimate is free and in writing.

Polyurea Coatings in Daytona Beach

How fast can you turn a Daytona garage around?

One day for most residential garages. The polyurea basecoat takes foot traffic in about ninety minutes, so grinding, repair, basecoat, flake, and topcoat all fit in a single visit.

Is polyurea better than epoxy?

No, and we would rather say so. The two systems publish identical test results and share the same polyaspartic topcoat. Polyurea sets faster, epoxy tolerates far more slab moisture. We pick based on your concrete.

Will hot tires damage it?

The system is built for it, with a full flake broadcast under a hard polyaspartic topcoat at over fifty mils. Worth knowing that prolonged tire contact can leave permanent plasticizer marks on any coated floor, which a mat under the tire prevents entirely.

Do you work beachside and on the peninsula?

Yes, all of Daytona Beach including beachside, plus Daytona Beach Shores, Ormond Beach, and Ormond-by-the-Sea. Beachside slabs get extra attention on the moisture reading.
